LAX is about 15 miles south-west of downtown. Taxis and rideshares (Uber and Lyft) pick up at the LAX-it lot, reached by LAX-it shuttles from the green-column stops on the arrivals level. The FlyAway bus runs from each terminal to LA Union Station and Van Nuys. The airport’s people-mover train is not open yet.
